Rolande LNG opens fifth LNG fueling station

April 19, 2016. Dutch company Rolande LNG said it has recently expanded its liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuelling stations network. According to a company’s statement, the fifth station in Rolande LNG’s network was opened in Nieuwegein.

The Nieuwegein station, like the company’s Geldermalsen facility is constructed to dispense only liquefied natural gas.

Rolande LNG’s three other stations in Tilburg, Veghel and Utrecht can dispense both liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas (CNG).

The company is working to advance LNG road infrastructure in the Netherlands and besides constructing the LNG stations the company rolled out some 75 LNG-powered trucks deployed at various companies.

Rolande LNG maintains that driving on LNG helps to save costs, improve air quality and lower CO2 emissions. Running a truck on LNG is also 75% quieter than a diesel engine.
