Cars to be fueled with natural gas at Gazprom Neft filling stations

August 7, 2013. Viktor Zubkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom, Chairman of the Management Committee - Director General of Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo and Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Neft signed today at the Gazprom headquarters an Agreement regarding the installation of natural gas vehicle fueling units at Gazprom Neft's filling stations.
The parties will take a set of actions aimed at installing NGV fueling units at Gazprom Neft's existing filling stations as well as new multi-fuel filling centers currently under construction.
Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo will be the investor of the said projects and Gazprom Neft will be the building contractor. The economic expediency of installing a NGV fueling unit at a specific station will be determined individually. In addition, the parties will contribute to increasing the NGV fleet and expanding the relevant infrastructure in the regions where Gazprom Neft is present.
Zubkov noted that a multifold increase in the number of stations enabling to fuel cars with natural gas is a particularly vital task when it comes to the availability of gas as an engine fuel. He added that a strong contribution in solving this task will be the installation of NGV fueling units at Gazprom Neft's filling stations.
Dyukov said there are really good prospects for gas to take a segment in the NGV market, especially when speaking about the municipal, passenger and freight transport. He explained that Gazprom Neft plans to substantially increase sales of gas as an engine fuel and the Agreement signed will make it possible to considerably advance in this area.
